One bike. And all the difference it can make.
Velosolutions and Pump for Peace provide a great place for the kids in underprivileged communities to come together as friends and ride bikes. But what completes the Pump for Peace project is the help from the bike industry and the community that manages these venues. After Velosolutions comes in and builds the pump tracks, we try to create an entire bike community. In addition to building an asphalted pump track, to kick start the love of riding bikes, we help get bikes and equipment for the community. Specialized Bicycles and TSG helmets/equipment contributed to make this story a success.
This is an example of the benefits 1 bike can bring, at the recent Red Bull Pump Track World Championships Qualifier in Roma, Lesotho. Just look at the faces of these kids, all sharing a couple of bikes between themselves. Five number plates on one bike, 5 kids all got to enjoy the love of bike riding, on a shared bike. (Look at the number plates on one bike). Shredding on a Velosolutions Pump Track. It doesn’t need to be complicated.
Just 1 Specialized P-series bike, placed 2nd, 3rd and 4th in the Men’s Category. And another bike placed 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th in the Women’s category.
The riders shared it through training, practice and racing.
Thank you Specialized.
